Rope Safety
It's easy to injure yourself when using ropes carelessly.
A online guide can not replace first aid training.
I can only reccoment to read Rope study's article on reducing risk to suplement a normal course.
Please be carefull and don't go to fast
Some basic recomendations are:
- Don't pull your rope to fast over the skin, it can burn or tear your skin.
- Always have a pair of safety-siccors to open knots if necesary
- Regularly check for blood flow, open the knots imediatly if e.g. the hands discolour blue or red
- Don't pinch any nerves with the ropes and don't put them in the back of your knees or in your elbow joint
- Remember that both need aftercare and and prepare a snack for after/during exhausting sessions.
- Dirty rope can transmit germs, keep it clean and don't share it after using it in the intimate area.
